I was very lucky to attend PARKLUXE for a second year in a row, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! I love how this is an event where our local fashion community can come together, and we can all appreciate and celebrate Canadian designers’ creations! I loved meeting and talking to other bloggers, as well as with the designers, and lusting over all their pieces. This event not only brings awareness to our Canadian designers’ amazing talent, but is also informative about whats hot right now and up-and-coming trends.
Speaking of which, here are the runway looks:
House of Nonie:
First, lets talk details! I loved how the pastel eyeshadows popped against the natural makeup. The little braids in the ponytails were also a nice detail! The makeup and hair was really inspiring, I cannot wait to try out those looks on myself.
Second, how proud am I of all the talented designers? These pieces were all breathtaking. Tonight was incredible – thanks for having me PARKLUXE!
April has been a busy month! I finished my final exams and I jumped right into modelling for two fashion shows here in Saskatoon, Choc’ laCure and Ensemble. I am so honoured that I was able to participate in these fashion shows and I am also supportive of the causes that they support. I got to walk out of an airplane onto the runway – never thought I would get a chance at that! All these wonderful photos are curtesy of Chel Photo.
I was very lucky to model for 5 local designers/boutiques:
Two Fifty Two Boutique
Luna and Hill
I am so excited to have participated in such a beautiful collaboration of local talent.
I want to extend a huge thank you to the people who made this event happen, and for helping me through it, as I had never modelled before. Huge thanks to Chel Photo for the photography, Chel Salon Spa for the hair & makeup & Saskatoon Fashion and Design Festival! You all helped to make this a night that will not be forgotten!
Spring is officially here! Even though the weather hasn’t quite caught up, I am ready to go with one of this years’ Pantone color choices, Marsala.
Shoes: Call it Spring
Cardigan: Vero Moda (similar)

Hello everyone! I cannot believe that it is June already! On Sunday I attended the Saskatoon Fashion and Design Festival’s Pose Event! It took place outside on a beautiful sunny day, and I got to watch emerging and established designers’ creations! I love how unique, wearable, and detailed the clothing is! The designers have sure delivered quality collections!
Here are some wonderful pictures of the event taken by my lovely friend, Ally Forand.
I love this pattern on the dress and pants!I’m loving the knits and details in this collection! Beautiful summer outfits!
After the fashion show, I visited multiple tents that were set up around river landing where I could purchase the designers creations! I purchased some items and I will be sure to make a separate blog post about those later on this week! Heres some close ups taken by Danielle Larson
I couldn’t forget about the beautiful flowers!
Here is what I wore:
All in all, I am so thankful and lucky that I could attend this Fashion and Design Festival here in Saskatoon! I certainly am more inspired and knowledgeable and I’ve gained a lot from this experience!
