This years first night of Saskatoon Fashion & Design Festival was held in Bottega Trattoria, which easily set the mood for the deconstructed runway. From the hanging glass lights and tin ceiling to the compartmentalized viewing areas, the place made for a very unique night of fashion.
Once again I am very excited and thankful to have a media pass for the SFDF weekend, as this weekend is my favourite in Saskatoon. So much creativity and energy is put into SFDF, every day is inspiring.
Laurie Brown had her beautiful dresses on display throughout the night, and the models wore very unique headpieces. I have to be honest and admit that I lusted over these dresses.
The fashion show started, with the models being helped to step onto and off of wooden platforms. They made their way around in a circle, then exited. I personally wished they were out for longer! I loved looking at all the details of the outfits, and appreciating all the work that had been put into them.
Such beautiful designs, once again making me very proud of Saskatoon’s talent.
If any of the designers or models want some of the pictures, feel free to contact me and I will provide you will higher resolution images! (email@example.com)
April has been a busy month! Final exams finished and I jumped right into modelling for two fashion shows here in Saskatoon, Choc’ laCure and Ensemble. I am so honoured that I was able to participate in these fashion shows and I am all for the causes that they support. All these wonderful photos are curtesy of Kim, from Chel Photo.
I was very lucky to model for 5 local designers/boutiques:
Two Fifty Two Boutique
The lovely Laurie Brown
Luna and Hill
I am so impressed that high-end fashion events like this exist in Saskatoon, and that they are so well put together and are a beautiful collaboration of local talent.
I want to extend a huge thank you to the people who made this event happen, and for helping me through it, as I had never modelled before. Huge thanks to Masala Model Talent, to Chel Photo for the photography, Chel Salon Spa for the hair & makeup, Saskatoon Fashion and Design Festival and Mandy Pravda & Jacqueline Conway! You all helped to make this a night that will not be forgotten!
