Tiara Grace

I have been seeing personalized jewelry on models and in street style so frequently that I decided I should join the fun. I love personalized jewelry because it offers so many layering options. I love layering necklaces as they bring so much interest to an outfit. Personalized jewelry is special because, in my opinion, it is a timeless piece that you can keep wearing throughout your life – which makes it a great statement piece instead of a fast-fad – just ensure that you make a high-quality investment that will last and keep looking good throughout the years.

Here I am wearing my personalized necklaces with an outfit that consists of completely natural materials – cotton & leather – in my efforts to reduce my own personal microfibre pollution. Natural sure does look better, on myself and on the planet!

I chose to get “Tiara” & “Grace” on my personalized necklaces because those are my first and middle names. I layered them with other necklaces I have, that happen to be vintage pieces, the options are endless! It is so fun to search for vintage pieces to incorporate into your wardrobe – make it an outing with friends & hit up some local thrift shops!

Bella Donna

I was incredibly lucky to be able to spend most of yesterday with Kim from Chel Photo. I am continually thankful for our collaborations. Here are some of the photos that resulted from our creative process.

This dress was my mom’s in the 1980s – so thankful that she kept a lot of her old wardrobe.

This suede jacket is one of my favourites. I love how the style is almost a replica of the style made popular by the punk-rocker era. Also this choker is one of my new favourite additions to my jewelry collection, it is from Hillberg and Berk.

These beautiful sheer pieces are designed and made by Laurie Brown. I wore this exact top in my very first runway show back in 2014 for Laurie Brown.

Two Fifty Two Boutique Photo Shoot

_VRL3011-1WWW
I have teamed up once again with the talented people at Chel SalonSpa and Chel Photo for another photo shoot! This time we were very lucky to have Two Fifty Two Boutique provide the incredible wardrobe. Kim decided to try a creative lighting setup for some of the photos, and the results were remarkable! I was joined by Brandee to help showcase some of the modern and unique pieces available at Two Fifty Two Boutique.

Never underestimate the power of accessories! This was such a fun shoot, I am so thankful to all those who helped to make it happen: Kim of Chel Photo, Brandee and Krissa of Chel SalonSpa, and all the ladies at Two Fifty Two Boutique. I love being a part of these creative processes and supporting local businesses (and of course being able to dress up in the stunning clothing!)

Rebecca King & Chel Collaboration

I was extremely lucky to be asked to show off Rebecca King’s new line with Sarah this past week. I am so proud of this, as I am all about supporting local and Saskatchewan’s local talent continues to surprise and impress me. I have respect for these people, who follow their dreams and do what they love in this frantic world. This was a great day, as the designer and photographers were an inspiration and were so great to work with. This shoot came alive thanks to Chel SalonSpa for hair & makeup and Kim and Derek from Chel Studio for their photography.
