I decided to start something new and talk about albums that I am currently loving. This Meat Loaf record is my monthly favourite, it never stops playing! This 1983 album is full of all that rock and roll, upbeat and lively music that I crave. I love how whatever encompasses Meat Loaf’s music, it keeps me coming back, 32 years after it was released. This is not one of Meat Loaf’s well known albums and for some obscene reason gets a bad rep. Which is why I want to share it, as I believe that there are so many hidden gems on this album.
My top picks: Fallen Angel & Midnight at the Lost and Found
Hello all! Things are finally starting to warm up in Saskatoon but I am still restricted to my patio for pictures because everywhere else is full of snow and mud! Today I decided to work my mom’s 1980’s boots into an outfit because I love them. They remind me of Stevie Nicks’ boots! Layering with scarves and long cardigans is really fun and is a great way to show off many articles of clothing. I am wearing:
Shirt: Cheap Monday
Jeans: American Eagle
Necklace: American Eagle
Today I put together a very simple and relaxed summer look. On one of my usual Value Village hunts, I found a pair of Levi’s jeans. I decided to test my DIY skills and made them into these shorts! I paired them with a textured tank top. To bring them together I added this vintage leather belt, which was my mom’s in the 1980s. I also added two silver bracelets to bring out the silver in the belt buckle. The lace up sandals help to add to the carefree summer look.
I definitely recommend purchasing clothing items secondhand and altering them (if needed) as they create a truly unique look – as well as being more friendly to the environment – if they are composed of natural materials of course!
Hope the rest of your weekend is wonderful,
