It is already the last month of 2020, a year that has presented many unique challenges for all of us. In reflection, I have found myself to be rather unproductive and unmotivated during this year. With the year coming to a close, I look back and wish that I had accomplished more than I have. However, I recently came across a quote that I thought I would share, as I believe we could all benefit from hearing it during these times.
“Destroy the idea that you have to be constantly working or grinding in order to be successful. Embrace the concept that rest, recovery, and reflection are essential parts of the progress towards a successful and ultimately happy life.”
This year has introduced a lot of “first times” for me. I moved out of my parent’s home and I have my own little space now, currently in a tiny passive home. I found my vintage mid century couch off of Facebook Marketplace, and personally gain a lot of pleasure from matching it. Here are some variations of the same outfit, accessorized with handmade jewelry that tells a story.
2021 is a not-so-distant future that I hold in my hands, and embrace the future unknown.
