Halloween Heroine Balm

Halloween is my favourite time of the year so I collaborated with Naked Kitty Co. again to make four lip balms! These lip balms are packaged in cardboard, not plastic, and are made from natural ingredients. These lip balms are named after some of my favourite badass women that are our Halloween Heroines 365 days a year (but especially during spooky season). More importantly, 10% of proceeds from the purchases of these lip balms are being donated to the International Women of Saskatoon Non-Profit Organization!

These four lip balms consist of different combinations of: Shea butter, Beeswax, Cocoa butter, Jojoba seed oil, Coconut oil, Lanolin, Sunflower seed oil, Flavour, Elderberry fruit extract, Stevia extract, Castor seed oil, Colouring.

The four lip balm options are:

The Sabrina lip balm is apple flavoured with a red tint (and there is an option to have added shimmer to the tint as well). Personally, this is my favourite lip balm from the collection!

I named this lip balm Sabrina because I was inspired by The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. I choose the apple flavour because Sabrina takes a bite out of a Malum Malus apple. A Malum Malus is a red apple that whispers secrets to the person eating it and grants them knowledge and sometimes shows them glimpses of the future. The Malum Malus is the apple of evil for men and the fruit of knowledge for women.

The Morticia lip balm is green tea flavoured with a light berry tint.

I named this lip balm Morticia after Morticia Addams from The Addams Family. Morticia is commonly seen sipping a green beverage and some other kind of beverage from a teacup – however, I am assuming neither are really tea! I have always loved how strong Morticia’s character is and her dark but witty sense of humour.

The Eleven lip balm is cola flavoured (yes, just like those cola gummies) and is a completely clear balm.

I named this lip balm Eleven after Eleven from Stranger Things. I chose the cola flavour because when we are introduced to Eleven, she demonstrates her psychokinetic abilities on a cola can. Then, as we are left in the final episodes of Season 3, Eleven desperately looks for another cola can to test her lost psychokinetic abilities on. She takes responsibly, she rescued herself, and saves the world – now that’s Bitchin’.

The Buffy lip balm is marshmallow flavoured and is a completely clear balm with a white-bronze shimmer (it can also be used as a highlighter).

Sara, founder & product developer of Naked Kitty Co., named this lip balm Buffy because she really likes Buffy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She chose the marshmallow flavour because Buffy is hard on the outside and soft on the inside. It seemed like the perfect 90s treat!

The organization that 10% of the proceeds will go towards is the International Women of Saskatoon Non-Profit Organization. They empower newcomer, immigrant and refugee women and support their families.

I am incredibly excited and thankful to be a part of this collaboration! If you would like to support the above organization & a local company, feel free to use the code RAWFASHIONBLOG at the Naked Kitty Co. checkout.
