CBD Infused Oils

Okay – let’s talk CBD oil. CBD is derived from the hemp plant. CBD is not psychoactive, therefore it won’t give you the high that THC gives you. CBD is more like a little plant miracle that tackles inflammation and pain (that I am completely obsessed with). When applied topically, CBD can help with inflammation, skin disorders, itching, acne, redness, excessive oil & more… it is basically your skin’s best friend. When Birch & Fog reached out to me to review some of their products, I was beyond excited. They are a Canadian company who are dedicated to plant-based lifestyles and wellness. I was gifted the Nectar serum & I purchased the LOA moisturizer.

Nectar CBD Infused Facial Serum

The Nectar CBD Infused Facial Serum consists of: Wild crafted rosehip oil, Grapeseed oil, Organic olive oil, Vitamin E oil, Rose geranium, Carrot seed, Lavender, Tea tree, Patchouli, & CBD extract

I use this facial serum morning and night, as the first product I apply after I wash my face. I immediately grew very fond of how this serum smells, as it smells lovely. This serum soothes and moisturizes my skin without an overly oily residue and it is an amazing base for other lotions and makeup. It also reduces redness and inflammation – which is ideal for autoimmune-prone skin issues that I have!

A few years ago, I was subject to getting eczema patches on my face and I currently have a psoriasis flareup on my scalp – let’s just say that my skin is very high maintenance. This serum has been able to keep my skin glowing and smooth and I am very impressed with this product. I plan to repurchase the larger bottle and to use it on my scalp to help with my psoriasis.

LOA Hemp Oil All-Purpose Moisturizer

The LOA Hemp Oil consists of: Evening primrose oil*, Hemp seed oil (cannabis sativa, seed)*, Calendula flower*, Gotu kola leaf*, Licorice root*, Tamanu oil*, Plantain leaf*, Rosemary CO2 extract*, Palmarosa essential oil*, Tea tree essential oil* , Frankincense essential oil*, & Geranium essential oil* (* signifies an organic ingredient).

This moisturizer is full of antioxidants and omega-3 & 6 fats that sooth skin. Although this is an all-purpose moisturizer, I still use it on my face. It is more oily than the previous product and has a stronger smell, so I usually apply this at nighttime. Other than my face, I also apply this product to my hands, nails and hair – a little goes a long way!

I have struggled with severe eczema on my hands since I was born. My hands are also always extremely red. When I use this moisturizer on my hands, the redness goes down and the extreme dry patches begin to look like skin again – it is kind of amazing. My hands and nails still need a lot of help and this product seems to be one of the only things that actually help them. I still have a long way to go, however I think this product will be fundamental in the healing process.

Shipping/Packing Material

The products arrived at my home one day after I ordered, which was very impressive. The products were wrapped with tissue paper and the glass containers were wrapped in bubblewrap. I understand completely that the company wants to ensure that the products arrive in one piece, however it would be incredible to see the company switch to plastic-free shipping methods! They are an amazing company and I would love to see them grow into a more sustainable company! I am a huge fan of the glass containers I received and I am excited that they are high-quality enough to be reused once I finish the product in them!

Overall, I am very impressed with these products and the Nectar CBD Infused Facial Serum is my personal favourite! Feel free to use the code RAWFASHIONBLOG for $20 off your order!

It is extremely important that any products containing CBD or cannabis are not used if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under 18. Also, consult with your doctor to ensure that your CBD product does not interfere with any medications you may be taking.
