This years first night of Saskatoon Fashion & Design Festival was held in Bottega Trattoria, which easily set the mood for the deconstructed runway. From the hanging glass lights and tin ceiling to the compartmentalized viewing areas, the place made for a very unique night of fashion.
Once again I am very excited and thankful to have a media pass for the SFDF weekend, as this weekend is my favourite in Saskatoon. So much creativity and energy is put into SFDF, every day is inspiring.
Laurie Brown had her beautiful dresses on display throughout the night, and the models wore very unique headpieces. I have to be honest and admit that I lusted over these dresses.
The fashion show started, with the models being helped to step onto and off of wooden platforms. They made their way around in a circle, then exited. I personally wished they were out for longer! I loved looking at all the details of the outfits, and appreciating all the work that had been put into them.
Such beautiful designs, once again making me very proud of Saskatoon’s talent.
