I usually wake up feeling stumped on what to make myself for breakfast, so I compiled my top three favourite breakfast choices!
1. Chia Seed Pudding
Chia Seed Pudding is incredible for all its health benefits and also packs in tons of antioxidants, fiber and protein. This stuff keeps you going! I love to mix fresh fruit and coconut flakes into mine. The recipe I use to make Chia Seed Pudding is:
– Mix 3 tablespoons of Chia into 1 cup of almond milk at bedtime.
– Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 teaspoons of honey.
– Stir well, refrigerate, stir some more.
– In the morning your chia seeds should have formed a gel in the milk, making a pudding.
2. Healthy Pancakes
Grab your favourite pancake mix and add pure cocoa chunks, blueberries and pomegranate seeds for the perfect combo of healthy and delicious! Super easy and quick!
3. Quinoa Puff Cereal
I got a bag of this stuff from a local health food store and it almost tastes just like I remember puffed wheat tasting like. I love to mix it with almond milk or coconut milk and mix in tons of fruit and a little bit of honey or brown sugar. Quinoa Puffs have amino acids and protein and are great for giving you energy!
All of these are gluten and dairy-free and will give you fuel to start the day!
